Dual Band Router .

 Dual Band Router:-

Hey guys, today I'm gonna explain you what dual  band router is, and recently I switched to dual band router. So  definitely, I will share my experience with dual band router.  So stay tuned🤗.

So basically in dual band router we get two frequency bands which
of 2.4 gHz and 5 gHz. and it is possible for the router to send data packets on both bands on same time depending upon your internet connection. ☺

2.4 gHz band:-
The max speed the band can provide is 450 Mbps or 600 Mbps , but it's the theorotical one, but as I have seen in maximum router the max speed by of router of any brand is provided upto 300 Mbps.
And actually the range of 2.4 gHz band is quite more than 5 gHz and reliable upto the larger distance as we learned in physics 'lower the frequency , range will be larger' and so  it's easy for the 2.4 gHz frequency to bang over the wall. 🤩

FrequencyTheoretical DistanceReal World Distance
2.4 GHz (802.11b)460 ft230 ft
2.4 GHz (802.11g)125 ft62 ft
2.4 GHz (802.11n)820 ft410 ft

 5 gHz band:-
The max speed the band can provide is 1300 Mbps,
And according to me its actually a practical thing you just have to get connection of that much speed but max people uses the connection upto 1 Gbps so its easy for the 5 gHz band to provide.
And actually the range of 5 gHz is not upto that much far because ofcourse the frequency is dense so it cannot penetrate an wall that easily . But while using 5 gHz band you can have the best and reliable experience of your internet with full bandwidth and there is no attenuation at all .
As many times we see in 2.4 gHz band it doesn't provide us the full bandwidth of internet  means it will show only 80 Mbps after we having 100 Mbps of connection like that.
And even 2.4 gHz fails to managing 7-8 devices at a time means it will slow down your internet. Its definitely ok for the office use because they don't that much bandwidth of internet to just surf over different sites. But as a gamer or streamer and the people who used to very high quality video streaming then it will be not reliable for them that much.😉
But these problems are  not found over 5 gHz band ofcourse because of frequency is quite more and the number of channels it provides is larger than 2.4 gHz band thats the reason 5 gHz band provides smooth and high speed internet without any interference , and it is able to manage 6-8 connections easily at a single time.
The conclusion is 5 gHz band doesn't hang up easily... 🥰
